Baby Bear in the pines

It took me quite awhile to decide how to finish this little guy. I did cut the sky bigger.
He should be hidden in the trees not perched in full view.

I really didn't want to do the pine needles off the canvas because they needed to be large in scope. So I dove in, attached some narrow bias strips for the woody parts and then using 2 different coloured threads, I started stitching a two needle pine.
Why two needles?.....because there are many different species around the globe with 2. So this guy is universal.

This is going to take awhile.........................
