Walnuts and Iron

I took a small piece and played with rusty nails.

I sprinkled it with old brads and sprayed it with vinegar and water. Then I forgot about it for 6 hours.

Very dramatic change.
I rinsed it and towel dried it but when I put the iron to it, a lot disappeared!!
So I've re-wet it and part of the dark has reappeared.?
I'm going to let it air dry and see what happens.

Like the wet walnut stain, this to faded when washed and dried, but there is a marked difference.
I love playing!
