Last summer I started recycling sweater wool from one my husband could no longer wear.
I wanted a nice big warm wool sweater, nothing fancy just long enough and wool.
I batch dyed all the wool with walnut. The lovely grey tone of the original just didn't seem to go well with my grey hair!
After finishing the sweater using a free on line pattern for a 'cocoon' style sweater, I over dyed it yesterday by dipping the lower edge and the sleeve cuffs into a fresh hot walnut solution.
I'm very happy with the results.
